The emphasis
Fermented cordyceps
Cordyceps is already a stamina mushroom. Fermenting it is the difference between hoping your gut can open a chitin wall and handing that job to koji and yeast first. Cordycepin and adenosine — the nucleosides this fungus is famous for — are easier to meet once the cell wall is gone.
Energy that is not coffee
Cordyceps has a long traditional use for stamina, oxygen use, and the kind of tired that sleep does not fix. Cordycepin and adenosine sit in the same family of molecules the body uses to talk about energy. People reach for it before a walk, a shift, or a day that asks more than usual.
Why fermented is the point
Raw cordyceps powder still has to be digested. Koji secretes cellulases, proteases, and β-glucosidase that take the wall apart. The honey-and-yeast secondary ferment keeps transforming those nucleosides. A fermented C. militaris beverage, in a controlled eight-week trial in healthy adults, was associated with higher natural-killer cell activity and lower selected inflammatory cytokines — without a safety-lab signal. That is not a cure. It is a reason fermentation is not a flavor trick.

Lion's mane
The cascade mushroom. Fruiting-body hericenones are the compounds researchers study for nerve-growth-factor pathways. If cordyceps is the fire, lion's mane is the mind of the bottle.
Focus and nerve support
Traditionally taken for memory, clarity, and the long work of the nervous system. Modern research follows hericenones (in the fruiting body) and erinacines (more often in mycelium) for their relationship to nerve growth factor. We use the fruiting body — the mushroom you can see.
Opened by koji
Lion's mane is mostly water and a stubborn wall. Koji's enzymes are why this is a goop and not a weak tea. The same ferment that serves cordyceps serves the mane: one koji bed, two species, then honey and yeast.
